Your Instructor/Car

1. The car provided is fully insured for use as a driving school vehicle for learner drivers and licence holders.
2. Dual controls are fitted for the instructors use.
3. Your instructor will keep a record of your progress, if you require a copy please advise me and I will arrange for a copy at you next lesson.
4. If you require a receipt or invoice for your lessons please advise me of this at your first lesson and I will arrange for this to be provided.

   Lessons

5. At your first lesson you will have your eyesight checked. Freedom Driving School in Luton reserve the right not to provide lessons if we feel that your eyesight is not to the required standard.
6. If you fail your eyesight check you will not be charged for the lesson time.
7. Driving lessons will be conducted on a one to one basis unless otherwise requested by the learner.
8. A UK provisional licence or full licence will need to be produced before your first lesson. Photocopies are not an acceptable form of identification.
9. You must inform your instructor at the start of the lesson if you require the lesson to end at a different location than where you are picked up from.
10. Every effort will be made to arrive on time for lessons, if in the event of the instructor turning up late; the lesson time will start from pick up point. If you need to make other arrangements then additional time will be added to your next lesson as compensation.
11. Every effort will be made to inform you if we are going to be late.
12. After arriving at an agreed pick up point you do not arrive within approximately 20 minutes and have made no contact or we are unable to reach you the lesson will be cancelled and you will be required to pay for the lesson in question
13. If you wish to use your own car for lessons or driving test normal lesson prices will apply.

    Cancellations

14. A minimum of 24 hours notice should be given if you wish to cancel a driving lesson.
15. Failure to give appropriate notice of cancellation will result in the lesson being charged as completed.
16. If we cancel any lesson with less than 24 hours notice at our discretion we will provide a free lesson, this does not include unforeseen circumstances such as, vehicle breakdown, illness, weather conditions or traffic conditions.
17. After arriving at an agreed pick up point you do not arrive within approximately 15 minutes and have made no contact or we are unable to reach you the lesson will be cancelled and you will be required to pay for the lesson in full.

    Payments/Prices

18. Lesson must be paid for in advance.
19. If at the start of the lesson you do not have the money for the lesson, the lesson will either be cancelled or we will drive to attain the money for the lesson to go ahead.
20. You must complete an adequate number of lessons before you are considered for the test depending on the consultation with the instructor
21. If you are unable to attain money, the lesson will then be cancelled but will still be charged, this payment will be required before subsequent lessons can be booked.
22. Payment for lessons will be either cash or cheque made payable to Freedom Driving School.
23. The price of lessons may be changed at any time; however 30 days notice will be given.
24. Prepaid lessons (Block Bookings) are accepted on the basis that no refunds will be given.
25. The cost of prepaid lessons is based upon the price at time of booking and will be honoured for 12 months thereafter. Any unused lessons at the end of the 12 month period shall incur the lesson price increase.
26. Student discounts apply to full time students only upon production of a valid student ID.
27. Pass plus courses are to be paid for in full in advance.

    Your Driving Test

28. On the day of test a 2hour lesson will be booked (Cost £50) this will allow time before the test to cover any issues and a full debrief after the test if required.
29. Freedom Driving School will advise you when you are ready to take your driving test.
30. If you book a test without advice from Freedom Driving School we reserve the right to withdraw use of the training vehicle for the test if it is in our opinion that you are not ready to take the test.
31. Driving test appointments will be given priority over other booked appointments. Alternative arrangements will be made to accommodate your lesson.
32. Freedom Driving School cannot guarantee a driving test pass and we do not do a pass guarantee course.
33. We cannot be held responsible for the mechanical failure either prior to or during any driving lesson or driving test, we will endeavour to provide continuous tuition but can't guarantee a similar vehicle.
34. If the DSA cancel your driving test at short notice they will provide you with a 'Refunding out of pocket expenses' form either at the test centre or by post. They will not pay compensation if the test is cancelled due to bad weather please refer to www.dsa.gov.uk for further information.
35. If the test is cancelled payment for the test lesson will still be required.
36. If you are unsuccessful in your test you will be given a debrief and a plan of action to achieve the right result at your next test.

    Other Terms

37. We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions without notice, but will endeavour to inform you of any changes in person.
38. Freedom Driving School accepts no liability for personal property that is left in the vehicle.
39. All pupils should ensure that their mobile phones are switched off, your instructor will not use a mobile phone while the car is moving.
